How to get to Old Forge Cottage

Ross on Wye is situated just off the end of the M50 and has great links to the M5 and M4. Hay-On-Wye, Gloucester and Cheltenham are within 45 minutes and Bristol, Birmingham and Cardiff just over an hour’s drive.

Leave the A40 at Wilton roundabout with the BP garage, signposted Ross on Wye town centre. Go over Wilton bridge and follow the road under the red sandstone cliffs. When you reach the give way junction with the Man of Ross pub and the fish sculpture on your left follow the road round to the left. You will see the Merton hotel on the left and a turning right which is New st and the way into the town centre, just past here is Forge Cottage also on the right. A white 3 storey building with green windows and door. You can turn in Edde Cross st carpark which is just on down on the let and pull up on the double yellow lines outside to unload briefly (Just watch the overzealous traffic warden). On street parking using the permit is Edde Cross st, New st, and Kyrle st.
