What a year it’s been! As the fairy lights twinkle and the fire crackles, it feels like the perfect time to send a big festive hello to everyone who’s stayed with us or followed along this year. Whether it was a summer adventure, a winter retreat, or just a dream for the future, it’s been wonderful sharing the charm of Old Forge Cottage with so many lovely guests.
Looking Back on 2025
This year has been full of happy visitors, muddy boots, wagging tails, and plenty of laughter echoing through the cottage. Ross on Wye has shown off all its best sides — from sunny riverside walks to misty mornings that make you want to stay wrapped up with a mug of something warm.

Winter at the Cottage
There’s something extra special about the cottage at Christmas time. The fire’s glowing, the river side fields are dusted with frost, and the Ross on wye’s shops are bursting with festive treats. It’s the kind of place where time slows down — perfect for board games, long walks, and lazy mornings.
