"Forge Cottage is finished and furnished to an extremely high standard. The quality of furnishings, beddings and decor are second to none. It is clear, when designing this place, that they chose the best rather than "that'll do" and that really makes the stay feel special and brings with it comfort and style. The location is absolutely fantastic. A short walk to the river, which has a great park for the kids. An even shorter walk to what looked like a really nice pub (we didn't go). Shops super close to stock up the beer fridge or get that important bacon for the butties in the morning. Can drive to plenty of nice places near by for brilliant walks. Would stay again

"This cottage is a real gem, a great location and refurbished, decorated and appointed to a very high standard. We could have happily moved in! Zoe is great, always helpful and has always responded to email quickly despite her own busy life. The only problem is Old Forge Cottage spoils you, it will be hard to find anywhere as good, we might just have to go back!"

"The house is absolutely stunning and so beautifully finished and thought out. The little touches everywhere (from the cookies/drinks to the soft close mini pedal bins in bathrooms to the fresh flowers) made such a difference and the fact that absolutely everything (other than your food) is there at the house for you, so you can just rock up with your clothes and you are set. Didn’t need to think about anything. Super quick responses from Zoe who didn’t mind the 100’s questions, beautifully cosy and comfy, beds and rooms and bathrooms were well provided and really comfy for great nights sleep. Great location and easy walking distance to town. Can’t rate this house and Zoe highly enough"

"Forge Cottage is beautifully decorated and the hosts are incredibly warm and welcoming. The location is great as the town centre is minutes away by foot. Would highly recommend the house to anyone looking for a place in and around the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley"

"Old Forge Cottage was everything we hoped it would be. Bright, Roomy and spotlessly clean. It has bags of character with lots of original features blended seamlessly with the up to the minute restoration. It is excellently placed for all your needs shops, takeaways and extra parking."

"A smart, beautifully decorated house right in the Middle of Ross. We found everything we needed. There were 4 of us staying on a fishing trip – we had a very nice bedroom each and the whole place was really comfortable and sparklingly clean. Zoe went out of her way to make our stay effortless. I'd highly recommend a stay here.”

"Such a brilliant personal service from the moment of booking. Zoe decorated the cottage beautifully for Christmas. The furnishings and decorations are stylish and the exhibits of local art such a brilliant touch! We bought a painting! Zoe supports local producers too. The cottage had everything we needed, was spotlessly clean, the bed linen was crisp and the courtyard garden delightful. There’s a fast EV charger in the nearest car park. It’s a short walk to the river and also to the town centre shops. A great cottage that easily accommodated 3 couples."
